Taking photos of babies is great fun but also very challenging as they don’t like to pose, have no patience and cry or fall asleep when you least expect it.  Apart from that it’s easy. Also 3 hours for a baby is an eternity so we have to work fast and be very patient ourselves.

On a typical newborn baby session we have accidents with leaks or worst and always at some point they go to sleep. For this reason although 3 hours sounds ike a long time it’s not. It’s just that we have to do a lot of waiting and hanging around while they sleep for a while or need a feed. Of course not all babies are the same age or the same in nature.

The 18 month old baby or infant can be even more of a challenge if they don’t want to play ball and the tears and theater follow. In some cases we need get the family back for another session but don’t worry because we will not charge you anything because of this. It’s just the rough and smooth of taking baby pictures.

For us the genuine pleased and proud parent’s reactions make it all worthwhile when we get that special shot. If we are honest about it getting good baby shots also ensure we get the all important repeat business so we work hard to ensure we deliver. We have said it elsewhere in our pricing section but by being affordable and good value for money is good business sense for us and most importantly for you.

For infant shots you’ll hardly ever see a studio do a low key shot on a very mobile infant as they’ll never sit still or get in to position for the critical lighting for low key. Newborn babies and the under walking age gives us the fantastic opportunity to use our baby posing skills to the limit. Of course we also need a lot of help from the parents to get those very special shots. It’s really about working as a team to help the baby feel safe and relaxed.
